Gooblurs Feed Frenzy
Created by: Lindberg Studios
A marble-shooting trading card game
🧠 Theme
Gooblur Beans are hungry creatures that LOVE marbles. Players compete by shooting marbles to “feed” opposing Gooblurs. When a Gooblur is hit, its owner gives up a card as the reward.
🧰 What You Need
🟣 3 Gooblur figures per player (targets)
🃏 Gooblur trading cards (your collection/deck)
🔵 Marbles
1 shooter marble per player
At least 3 regular marbles per player
📏 String or tape (to mark shooting line)
🟩 Flat play area (table, floor, or board)
👥 2+ players
🏗️ Setup
Each player places 3 Gooblur figures in their own “target zone.”
Mark a shooting line using string or tape behind each player.
Each player selects prize Gooblur cards they are willing to risk during the game.
BEFORE starting, agree on how card trading will work:
🟢 Play for keeps – won cards are permanently taken
🟡 Blind draw – opponent draws randomly from your hand
🔵 Pick 3 – you choose 3 cards, opponent selects 1
🟣 Face-up choice – opponent chooses 1 from 3 revealed cards
🎮 How to Play
Players take turns shooting marbles from behind their shooting line.
🔹 Two Play Styles
🟢 Easy Mode
Players use their shooter marble only
You aim directly at opponent Gooblurs
The shooter marble must be the one that hits the target
🔵 Hard Mode
Place a small marble on the shooting line
Use your shooter marble to strike the small marble
The small marble becomes the “active hitter” and must hit the Gooblur
🎯 Objective of a Turn
Try to hit an opponent’s Gooblur figure using your marble system.
🍽️ Feeding Rule
If you hit an opponent’s Gooblur:
That Gooblur is “fed”
You earn 1 Gooblur card from that player
If you hit your own Gooblur:
It counts as a mistake
You must give 1 Gooblur card to an opponent (they choose)
🔁 Turn Flow
Line up behind your shooting line
Take your shot
Check for hits
Resolve card exchange
Next player’s turn
🏆 How to Win
The first player to:
🍽️ Feed 3 opposing Gooblurs
🃏 AND collect 3 Gooblur cards from other players
wins the game.
💡 Optional improvement (if you want it even tighter later)
You could add:
Obstacles = place physical objects to avoid
different target sizes = different rewards
“combo hits” for hitting multiple Gooblurs in a turn
