Note (Lindberg Studios Recommended Rule): For the best experience, defeated Character cards are kept by the player who wins them. This turns the game into a true Trading Card Game—encouraging rematches to try and win back lost cards or grow your collection even more.

Needed for this Game:

  • 2 Lindberg Studios effect dice

  • 2 Regular dice (d6)

  • Gooblurs (character cards)

  • HP tracker - for tracking characters health (optional (recommended)

  • Pen & Paper - for tracking characters health (optional (recommended)

How to Play — OFFICIAL RULES

👥 PLAYERS - 2 Players

🎯 OBJECTIVE

Defeat your opponent by reducing their Character to 0 Health.

🧩 SETUP

Each player chooses 1 Character card to lay down face-up. Players agree on how much health both Characters begin with (recommended: 25 health for short games; 50 health for long games.

Both players each begin with:

  • 1 six-sided die (d6)

  • 1 Lindberg Studios effect dice

  • 1 Character Card

🔁 TURN FLOW

Each turn both players roll 1 (d6) dice, and 1 LS effect dice AT THE SAME TIME.

🎲 (D6) Dice = ATTACK ROLL (Damage inflicted on opponents card)

🎲 Effect Dice = EFFECT ROLL (Modifies each Attack)

🎲 EFFECT DICE MODIFIERS:

‼️ DAMAGE RESOLUTION

Final Damage =

Attack Roll + modifiers from effect roll

Then apply damage (if any) to opponents.


🛡 SHIELD RULE (IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION)

If you roll 🛡 Shield:

  • You ignore any incoming damage this turn

  • Your character card receives 0 damage this turn

❤️ HEAL RULE (IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION)

If you roll ❤️ Heal and already have full health:

  • You gain an additional +2 Health

🔥 SUPER BOOST (IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION)

If you roll 🔥 Super Boost:

  • multiply your Attack roll x2


🔥 EXAMPLE TURN

Player rolls:

  • Attack roll = 4

  • Effect roll = 🔥 (Super Boost)

Result:

  • Damage = 4 × 2 = 8 damage

Opponent receives 8 damage.

🛡🔥EXAMPLE TURN

Attacker roll:

  • Attack roll = 6

  • Effect roll = 🔥 (Super Boost)

(6 × 2 = 12 damage)

(12 damage)

Defender roll:

  • Attack roll = 1

  • Effect roll = 🛡 (Shield)

(1 damage) (🛡shielded)

Result:

Defender receives 0 damage because 🛡shielded and Attacker receives 1 damage from defender’s roll.

💥❤️ EXAMPLE TURN

Attacker roll:

  • Attack roll = 4

  • Effect roll = 💥 (Backfire)

(4 damage)

Defender roll:

  • Attack roll = 5

  • Effect roll = ❤️ (Heal)

(0 damage) (+2 Health❤️)

Result:

Attacker receives 5 damage from defenders roll and also receives additional 2 damage because 💥 (Backfire). Defender receives 4 damage from attackers roll and heals +2 from ❤️ (Heal) for a total of 2 damage.

❌🗡️ EXAMPLE TURN

Attacker roll:

  • Attack roll = 6

  • Effect roll = ❌ (Miss)

0 damage because (❌ Miss)

Defender roll:

  • Attack roll = 3

  • Effect roll = 🗡️ (Boost)

(3 damage) (🗡️ +2 damage)

(5 damage)

Result:

Attacker receives 3 damage from defenders roll and also receives additional 2 damage because 🗡️ (Boost). Defender receives 0 damage from attackers roll because ❌ (Miss).


☠️ WIN CONDITION

First player to reduce opponent HP to 0 wins.


☠️ BONUS WAYS TO PLAY (optional)

Add more character cards to battle (ie. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc.)
